I had gotten stuck in Dublin during a layover after a nightmare of a travel day and found the Hotel George after the Aer Lingus staff recommended I look around on booking.com. The Hotel was lovely - it had a quaint yet elevated bed and breakfast feel to it with a ton of Irish charm and character. The location is also amazing because you’re right in the city Centre with plenty of options for food, sight seeing, and not too far from Pearse station if you need to take the train anywhere. The staff were very friendly as well and recommended good places to eat nearby and organized a taxi for me to the airport the next day. Overall I would absolutely recommend this place if you’re looking for an authentic Irish-feeling hotel experience without all of the (unnecessary) frills and whistles of a huge hotel chain.

The hotel was a short walk from the bus stop when I got in from the airport. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond the whole time I was there, even dealing with my lost luggage issues and making tea for me when my trip out at the end of my stay got delayed. I had booked about 15 minutes before I checked in because my flight in had taken an extra day and a bunch of reschedules, then I had to stay in town to track down my luggage before heading out to my final destination. It was a lifesaver to finally get a bath, wifi, and a place to rest.

Staff accomodated our location request, and I was able to call the office to ask for late check-out from my bed (10er an hour though, which is a bit cheeky, but the option to pay by the hour was nice). We did not eat at the hotel, but we were allowed to order delivery to the hotel and eat it in our room, which I really appreciated. Bed was comfy, two small towels and two large were provided, and more were offered. Location is close to train stations and Luas stops to get you anywhere in the county.

The location is fantastic. The rooms are small but clean and has a good design. I like the paint colors and decor. Someone put some thought into it. Notice the led lights Inder the windows. And the silver tips on the rod iron fence. The attention to detail says a lot to me. It gives the place a little swagger all its own.

Chris

Perfect location, stylish forniture. The rooms come with towels, shampoo and soap, bottles of water and what needed to make coffee and tea. Staff was super nice and kind. We really appreciated their service with the luggage storage. Great value for money considering that it is in Dublin and in the city centre).
